The Latino Health for All Coalition offered technical support to selected health organizations in Wyandotte County interested in enhancing their cultural competence and humility.
With the leadership of JT Intercultural Services, we offered two forms of support: a) Brief training sessions (e.g., lunch and learn sessions, full-day workshops) and b) Organizational consultation in cultural competence (technical support for a participatory process).
Initial partners in this organizational development process included Riverview Health Services and the Wyandotte County Health Department.
Some Accomplishments:
- Used assessment to set priorities for change
- Established cultural competence committees
- Modified board policies and communication practices
